The Polish Society of Rehabilitation
The Polish Rehabilitation Society was created in 1989.
During that time, Poland underwent rapid political, economic, and social – democratic transformations.
The political changes were promising for both our country, and the situation of Polish rehabilitation.
Statutory tasks of the Society include education, the gaining of knowledge, support of research in the field of rehabilitation, supervision of the development of rehabilitation, cooperation with organizations involved in rehabilitation in Poland and abroad, representing Polish rehabilitation, and spreading of a humanistic tenet, particularly in the context of persons with disabilities.
In April 2003, The Polish Rehabilitation Society joined the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM).
A declaration of intention for cooperation in the domains of education, quality of care, and the field of competence in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine between the Section and Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine of the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS-PRM) and The Polish Rehabilitation Society was signed in 2011.
Since 2015, the Polish Rehabilitation Society has been a member of ESPRM.
