All abstract submissions and presentations are to be conducted in English.

AIRPORT TO CITY

Train

Trains run between Kraków Lotnisko (Airport) station and Kraków Główny (Main Station), adjacent to the Old Town.

Tickets cost 20 PLN (approx. €5) and can be purchased from machines in the airport terminal, at the station, via mobile apps, or on the train.  

Journey time approx. 20 minutes.

Taxi

Official airport taxis are available outside the arrival’s terminal. It is recommended to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

Most taxis accept credit cards.

Cost is around 89-109 PLN (approx. €21-€26).
Journey time approx. 25 minutes.

Uber, Bolt etc

Ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt operate in Kraków and can be booked through their respective apps.
Cost is around 40-50 PLN (approx.€9-€12).

Journey time is approx. 25 minutes.

Public Bus


Bus lines 209 and 300 operate during the day. The night time service is line 902. Tickets can be purchased from machines in the airport terminal, at the bus stop, or from the driver (exact change required). Ticket must be validated upon boarding.
Costs around 6 PLN (approx. €1.45) for a 60-minute ticket.

Journey time approx. 45mins.

CITY TO CONGRESS VENUE  

ICE Kraków Congress Centre is located next to one of the main transport hubs.

There are direct bus and tram connections from the Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny). Please alight at RONDO GRUNWALDZKIE stop.

By Tram – the easiest and fastest public option.

  • Lines: Take Tram 18, 22, or 52 from central stops like Dworzec Główny (Main Station) or Stare Miasto (Old Town).
  • Stop to get off: Centrum Kongresowe ICE – it drops you right in front of the building.
  • Ticket: 20-minute ticket (4.00 PLN, approx. €0.92).
    Buy tickets via machines at stops or in trams (card-friendly).

By Bus

Several bus routes connect the Main Railway Station to areas near the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, including lines 164, 169, 173, 179, 194,
and 424.

These buses typically depart from stops near the Main Railway Station and head towards the vicinity of the Congress Centre. However, they may not stop directly in front of the venue. The most common nearby stop is Rondo Grunwaldzkie, which is a short walk from the Centre.

*Note: A 20-minute ticket for Kraków’s public transportation system costs 4.00 PLN (approx. €0.92). This ticket is valid for a single journey of up to 20 minutes on trams or buses within the city

CLIMATE & CLOTHING

Toward the end of March, Kraków experiences early spring weather.

Temperature: Daytime highs range between 8°C and 14°C (46°F – 57°F), while nighttime lows drop to 0°C – 4°C (32°F – 39°F).

A warm jacket is recommended. 

BANKING & EXCHANGE  


The Polish Złoty (PLN) is the official currency and legal tender of Poland. Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, railway stations, and airports, and often at major hotels (though typically at a less favorable rate). All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants, and shops.
